March is Marchin’
Remembering to Breathe
February flew by in a flurry of classes and workshops, events and appearances. And work. I worked on an essay for submission and began putting together a calendar for my residency applications, too. My Kitchen Table Literary Arts team and I got our workshop space together a little bit, and we’re setting up the in-person workshops that kick-off later this month. Just as quickly as February began, it ended, and here I am in March moving forward with a low-key, hybrid book tour to celebrate the Tenth Anniversary Edition of Once and Future Lovers as well as navigating my own work while supporting the work of others through spring classes and workshops.
I have to remember to breathe.
I’m doing so much better at making time to rest and not feeling guilty about taking that time. I’m feeling good about my schedule, acknowledging that this is a busy time and that the push and pull of my days won’t shake me dizzy if I focus on flowing and attracting rather than forcing and chasing.
On the Road…
I’ll be at AWP this weekend. I’m presenting on two panels, one on professional development for writers and another on working with small presses and independent book stores to build community. I hope to see you at one or both! I’ve never been to Seattle, so I look forward to exploring the city a bit, too.
Celebrating at Home…
Join me on Wednesday, March 15th, at Corner Club Tampa! As a featured reader for Read Herring, I’ll be slinging a few stories from my latest book, the Tenth Anniversary Edition of Once and Future Lovers!
Book Party! Book Party! Book Party!
Mark Your Calendars for these, too!
I’ve got virtual opportunities coming up soon, too!
I’m teaching a one-day memoir class with Eric May for a 2nd Story get-down. Get more information here!
