There’s a very strong possibility that I’ll be leading a workshop in the magical-looking cottage space at the foot of these magical-looking wooden steps. If not, I’ll be in another magical-looking cottage space at Shake Rag Alley.

The point is, the Shake Rag Alley campus is gorgeous and the featured image is from the very beautiful, obviously magical Shake Rag Alley campus where the creative writing retreat, Mining the Story, is taking place May 2oth - May 22nd!

The registration for Mining the Story, featuring yours truly, Christine Rice, and Patricia McNair has been extended to Monday, May 16th! My workshop, Digging In: Research for Writers, is nearly full, but I could make room for a couple more writers. And my craft talk, Octavia Taught Me: Creative Practice and Accountability, is open to the public. There will be a gallery crawl, craft talks by Christine Rice and Patricia McNair, a publishing and literary citizenship panel, with open mic and reading opportunities.
